Kate Watkinson Wright is a native Oregonian, born and raised in the Willamette Valley. She earned her undergraduate degree from Stanford University and returned to Eugene to attend law school at the University of Oregon, obtaining her degree in 2006.  She is licensed to practice in the state of Oregon.

 

Kate is widely recognized by her peers as a trusted and knowledgeable employment law specialist.  She was included in Oregon Superlawyers as a Rising Star in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the field of Employment Law - Management every year since 2013.   

 

In 2013, Kate established Watkinson Legal PC, an Employment Law Advice and Counseling firm. During its second year of operation and in each year since, the firm was selected for inclusion in US News and World Report's Best Law Firms in America in the area of Employment Law.  Kate continues to devote her passion and practice to helping businesses of all types and sizes navigate the complex system of employment laws while maintaining a productive and profitable workforce. She also assists individuals in pursuing employment-related claims, negotiating employment contracts, bonus and separation agreements and other employment-related issues. As a business owner, Kate appreciates her clients' bottom line and endeavors to address their issues in a direct, cost-effective manner. More than anything, Kate enjoys building relationships with her clients and playing a role in their success.
